Eli’s primary area of practice has always been trusts and estates. He represents a broad range of clients, including business owners, accountants, financial advisors, entrepreneurs, artists, and professional athletes. He often advises clients on international issues that arise in the context of estate planning.
Eli is an annual update author of the Estate and Gift Tax Chapter of CEB's California Estate Planning Treatise. He is a past Chair of the Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Section of the San Francisco Barristers Club; and a current Chair of the Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Section of the San Francisco Bar Association.
Prior to joining Freeland Cooper & Foreman, Eli practiced estate planning at another established Bay Area firm. He also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge John Dearman in the Probate Department of the San Francisco Superior Court.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Eli worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Lusaka, Zambia and New York headquarters.
